I did it...and my last blog!

I wold like to thank everyone who has helped me, including the folks at slim and fit, and family and friends to whom I would like to let it be known, that I could not have done this without you!  My current weight this morning was 204-203.  I fluctuate between that and 210.  My new driver's licence states that I am 208.  That is my apparent normal..for now!  I go to swear in on this Tuesday!  I'm going to become a 88L1, Watercraft engineer.  Its' army and I have a chance to be airborne!   (trained anyway!).  NICE.  Thank you for all your support and for checking in on my blog status...thing.  No mater what happens next, I've got this under my belt, and its a loose belt that I had to punch a few extra holes in at that!  Thank you for your support!
P.S.  I don't look anything like my old driver's licence picture!  Scared me when they showed it to me,  thought they gave me someone Else's!  The lady at the counter had to reassure me it was MY FACE LOL!

Current Status.

This morning I weighed 202.5-205.5.  The scale where I live is 202.5.  The military scale is always 3 pounds  heavier.  Don't know why why.  Let's hope my luck holds out!  Now to mow the lawn, go run, pack and away I go!  I'll have an update tomorrow!  Tell then!

Weight is same or up .5 ;(

Current weight at the gym was 205.5-206.  That is to say it will be 209-210 on the Military's scale.  Sigh...ran 1.5 this morning.  I'll have to run another 1 mile then do my workout then run another 1 mile.  Don't know what to do. Let us hope I don't have to reweigh before Monday's final test.  If I pass that (and HOPEFULLY I WILL), I should be all clear!

Slipping!

My weight registered this morning at 206 (that is 209) on the military scale.  I made it past the scale test though, so I'm good for Boot camp if I pass my next test.  To make up for it I'm going back to my old school HIT run.  Soon as laundry is  done around 2:00 p.m., I'm going to go run on the Treadmill.  Then later on go back for some more cardio and Arm workouts.  Hopefully I'll drop 2 pounds in the next 3 days or so.  I think also I'm swearing off Diet Drinks and Cheese tell I get into the Army.  I gotta believe that is what is causing my problem.  I'll know next Monday Night how I'm doing!  Tell then!

Just tried maxing my bench

Well I got 2 45 plates on each side, on a Smith machine.  The bar looses 25 do to the counter weight; so that is equal to 205 l.b.s. (15 for the bar, 180 for the plates).  Not sure if that is totally accurate...man that would be awesome if it was!  I think I might have been able to get 10-20 more if I had been completely fresh.  It was off bar all way down and back up.  I can almost do my own body weight!  Nice!

Current status!

202.5 this morning.  So trend is downward, ho!  Military scale will be 205.5.  So one more week ought to do it!

Current Weight

My current weight as of this morning was 203.5.  You add 3 pounds for the Military scale for 206.5-207.  It could just be water weight though...So I will weigh in again tomorrow and the next day to determine if it is indeed accurate.  Today isn't over yet, but my eating isn't going to great.  To much salt.  I need to go workout in about 2 hours and I'm not feeling the will for it...sigh...must get will up! <GULPS a monster absolute zero!>

DANG NABBIT! BAD LABELS RANT!

My weight is still the same!  I talked to my brother Matt "the binkie fiend" (he used to carry around a brown stripped blanket with him until he was like 7), and we have decided I need to cut out cheese and DIET COKES...for the luv of GAWD...DIET COKES are bad for me know?  What kind of world do we live in when the DIET "stuff" isn't supposed to be on your DIET!?!  It says DIET on it!  I could understand if it said "FAT PILL" or don't eat me I'm bad for you...but it doesn't...Or coke zero...zero calories or zero TASTE!  Gah!  I want my money back, you're not even close to a DIET COKE!  You have zero chance to be a diet coke...that's why you're a COKE FREAKING-ZERO!  Labels are important, and should be accurate!    And what about other freaking food labels! For example; what about going to Subway and it says "EAT FRESH".  What does that mean, they went out back and killed the turkey?  No it doesn't!  (I walked around back...no Turkeys, not even a chicken coup!).  Labels are important!  What would happen if someone misinterpreted what was labeled so as to mean something else.  What if Fresh meant something bad...like for example; they're going to get "FRESH" with me!   When she asks me if I want a foot long, I think next time I'll turn the tables and ask her if she'll settle for a 6 inch...double meat...Then of course I'll be settling with a lawsuit.  All because of bad labels!  It wouldn't be all bad though, because one of the "sandwich artists" (again with the labels) was kinda hot. Still you get the idea!  What government agency is supposed to label stuff!  HUH?  What is their NAME...I'll probably never find them, they probably don't have the CORRECT NAME/LABEL themselves!  "They"  probably like it that way!  It's a conspiracy...no  CONSPIRASAI...plural, multiple conspiracies within a conspiracy!  That's right!  You know conspiracy is made up of 2 words; Con witch is from Latin and means together.  The other part of that word, you guessed it, PIRACY!  They are on the HIGH SEAS OF INTELLECTUAL LABELING, hijacking my "diet" coke by running up a false flag.  The false flag of DIET SODA POP!  And when they get close they hijack my diet and SANITY!  I want my Diet drinks to be back on my diet, and all these labels correct so I can have a diet coke that is for DIETS!  I want my DIET COKE! I swear...some people are only alive because it's against the law to kill them...I mean, make them LIVING IMPAIRED.

I may be down a pound

I weighed in today at 210, we shall see if that holds up in the morning.  I am doing better on my cardio.  Did 30 minutes on treadmill again today.  Seems like I am doing it just about everyday, so it is helping.  5 minute warm up jog, 20 minutes of 1 minute sprints at 8 mph., then back down to 7 mph.. It sucks but apparently I am getting results!  Last 5 minutes a cool down jog.  I'll know more tomorrow when I weigh in again!  Other than that I am trying to get my calories down.  Tell next time!

weight is still same 211

Not making much progress....My cardio is getting better I did 30 minutes on the tread mill.  5 min warm up at 5.5, then 20 minutes of short sprints (1 minute at 8, then 1 minute at 7).  Followed by a 5 minutes 6.0 mph jog cool down.  It is not as hard as it sounds :p.  I also did some arms today.  Things are getting better I hope by the end of this week to have lost 1-2 pounds.  We shall see.

Current Weight is 215

I feel a lot better, than I did yesterday.  I ran 1.9 miles and now I'm going to head over to the gym after walking the dogs, to do some preacher curls, French press thingy, and 21's.  Followed by some dips and deep pushup sets.  Well wish me luck!  Eating today is great.  If I eat just once more before I go out tonight, I will be right below 2000!

Another day

Eating is doing a little better today.  But it is close.  Went to workout with Craig, my friend, we ran 33 minutes.  Then out to Pita pit.  On the way home I got so hungry I had to stop and get a 75 calorie meat stick and an absolute zero energy drink (monster's version of the Diet Coke).  Then when I got home I had veggies and 250 calories of beans, and sprinkle of mozzarella cheese.  I was FAMISHED after that run.  Wonder what is going on with that.  I'll eat a banana and an absolute zero, then buy a huge thing of water before I have to go out tonight around 9:00 P.M..  If I don't eat anything else I should be close on my calories, but not to much over 2000.  Did 55 push ups today!  I'm going up!  Well current weight was 213.5-214.  I may have lost .5 a pound or that could just be water.  Tell next time!

Actual weight

Found out the scale I was using was 3 pounds off!  I'm actually at 214 (after lunch meal).  Lots of work to do, the military wants me to get down to 205 now!  So far today's eating was good.  I went and worked chest, and ran 1.25 miles.  Need to get my cardio up a bit.  Yesterday I went running with my Pal Craig for like 27 minutes!  Was slow pace, but it wore me out.  Hopefully I can get myself in gear this week.  I'm under 2000 calories for the day, but just barely.  I hope that by the end of the night tonight I won't eat until 6 a.m., except for a snack I will bring with me ( I have a late night thing I have to do).  Did 40 push ups and then 1 hour and half later did 40 more.  Need to do 40 or 50 more tonight to get caught back up.  Did my 4 sets of 35 sit ups.  So today wasn't total waste.  Tell tomorrow!

The army's scale is 3 pounds heaver than the scale I use at the police station :(.  In addition they now want me to get down to 205.  Looks like its going to be another 3-4 weeks!  Oh wells!  At least I have more time for ASVAB  studying!  Need to workout, sigh time for a short run.

I am maintaining my weight...I also am eating better.  My legs are on fire!  I recently over exerted them, and running is a lot harder now :).  Hopefully they will cool back down soon.  I'm going to go run and do some arm workouts, before I have to go do somethings tonight.  Lets hope I don't wuss out!

Weigh in tomorrow, and I'll try and get a run in too.  I am starting a new workout regimen as well.  Today I ran 1 mile and went to workout with my pal EVIL CRAIG-SAN!  My spiritual guide, and moral compass (of course it doesn't point true north, but hey whose does!?).  We'll know tomorrow If I have been  slacking or not!  My chest and arms are little sore.  My legs are freaking killing me!  No pain no gain!  Tell next time, this is Kevin, painfully limping off.

Weight is fluctuating wildly.  In the morning it is 214 before I eat.  After my last meal it is 218.  It rained today so I just did some chest workout, no chance to run.  Tomorrow I am hitting the gym hard.  My calories are around 2600 a day.  Not good.  If I don't eat anything over the course of the night and wait until in the afternoon I will officially have gotten back on the horse.  If I workout hard tomorrow,  I will be back to where I was routine wise 1 and a half weeks ago.  Wish me luck!

Current status as of 03/22/2012

Sorry I have been remiss in keeping up with my posts.  My current weight for the second week is 223.5!  So no ifs and/or butts...that is my new weight!  Only 15 more pounds to go!  I also completed reading Sun Tzu's Art of war (short book really).  I worked out today, tomorrow I will hit it even harder.  I also ran over 1.8 miles today by myself!  Doing better, lots of sad stuff going on at home, the run actually took my mind off it!  Tell next time!

STATUS REPORT!

I am at 226-225.5!  Although this could be water weight!  The trend is definitely downward!

Last weigh in was 227

I'm still trucking along, today I think is gonna be a good day!  My calories are low so far, so all I have to do is keep below 1500 or so and I should be good the whole day!  I weigh in later.  I'm gonna hit a run, then work out then hit the treadmill/elliptical for 20 minutes.  Try and create a calorie deficit. Quick check in

Current weight is 227.  I did 50 push ups (last set of 10 was kinda sloppy) just to start my arm workout today.  The fact that I can do that is amazing, when I first started I was like doing 20 push ups (that was less than a year ago).  I'm hovering around 2000 calories a day...I need to get that down some.  Tell next time!

I did my elliptical again today...I weighed in at 228.  That is up almost 3 pounds. I'm hoping that it is water weight.  Time will tell.

Current Status

My weight is 227.8!  I ate under 2000 calories today.  I worked out at  gym today also!  Imagine that me!  All by my lonesome!  I Did good on the elliptical, shaving off 150 calories in 1/2 and hour.  The rest of the workout was for my arms and chest.  I'm going in tomorrow, this time I'm hitting the treadmill for 13 minutes.  I hope to be down to 225 by this coming FRIDAY!  Hopefully my pal Craig will be back in town, and if the weather holds we can do a little running!

I weighed in.

Well sad news folks...slim and fit where I workout is closed down :(.  Still I wouldn't be able to have made it this far without  the support, that they have given me.  I will always be grateful to them.  Where-ever they land I hope who ever picks them up Not to worry I may be on my own, but I think I can still make it.  Last weigh in yesterday was at 230 to 231.5.  I am still down a pound from last time.  My progress has slowed way down, in an effort to get it back up, I am adjusting my calorie intake.  I just found a website that shows me how to do this.  So starting today  I am keeping my calories in a food log.  This is a sure fire way to help me loose weight faster.  I also found a new place to weigh in and workout out..at least with a treadmill.  Now if I can just control what I put into my mouth over the course of the next 2 months, and run at least every day.  I should be down 20 pounds in 2 to 2.5 months.  Once I am down to that I can make a go for the Military, and I will have made my goal in a little under a year!  WOOHOO!  Today's calorie intake for the entire day was 2220.  Close to 2000, but not close enough.  I need to get it down to roughly 1500.  That should create the necessary deficit to make my goals a reality.  I'll give myself a banana after I run, I usually eat that with my salad, so by spacing it out I should be able to make the change.  That will compensate for hunger pains and protein.  I will also weigh in again tomorrow.  I just need to keep this up for 2.5 months at most.  It looks rough...but at least I have a plan now!  Tell next time!

It is official

I am at 230.6!  It is also Friday!  I have lost 2 pounds this week.  Now, I just need to loose 2 more by next Friday, and I will have SERIOUS progress!  Woot 20 more to go!

Todays current status!

My weight is being stubborn...I am at 231.  In other news; I did weights today, and ran a mile on the treadmill, in under 10 minutes.  I am getting a little better at the push ups and sit ups.  I also notice that I breath better when I sleep.  That 100 + pounds  I shed really helps my lungs out.  It's amazing!  Before I sounded like a host of lumberjacks high on meth sawing a redwood in half with a rusty saw blade!
Speaking of being sawed in half, I can fit into a size 38 pants!  That is  FREAKEN awesome for me!   Another 21 pounds to go and I reach my end game!  Tell next time!

back down to 234

OK the current theory I have is that I have been having to much sodium.  I'm now drinking only water, and my salad dressing is just salsa.  I worked out 1/2 an hour on treadmill.  We figure the calorie count I was getting should be cut in half.  That is to say the elliptical says 497 it should be around 250 calories that were burned.  I still need to do muscle building and a 1.5 mile run today.  Other than that everything is going OK.  I am also logging what I eat now.

my weight is apprantly not doing ok

I'm up to 237!  It was after I ate but sheesh!  I hit the elliptical two times today to compensate.  Two intervals of 30 minutes.  Tomorrow I'm going to do a solid 40 minutes then work out my large muscle groups.  My hope is that if I hit the treadmill everyday for 30-40 minutes I can get my mojo back to loosing weight.  I just don't know what else to do.  I'm also going to have to go back to logging what I eat.  See if there is a pattern that I need to break down with.  My goal is to be down to 231 by next Friday!  231 or bust!

The new plan

My weight has gone up  back to 234, although that is after a meal.  I need a new plan..and that plan is Mr. elyptical.  I still have pushups and situps to do tonight, but it looks like if i do 1/2 an hour on the elpitical and 10 minutes of up hill walking on the treadmill, I can burn over 400 calories.  If I do that everyday, starting tommorrow, I should be able to watch the weight just melt off.  We shall see!  Anyway thats my new plan, I'll let you all know what tommorow brings when it happens!

Current weight

I am at 232, before breakfast.  I'm trying the perfect push up again, it still burns :P.  I need to do some leg work today, lets hope that gives my arms a chance to rest until tomorrow.  In other news, my cardio is looking good.  Treadmill time for a mile is still under 10 minutes.  Need to shave another 30 seconds off it (my average is 9 minutes and 30 seconds).    The guys at Slim and Fit are still checking in on me helping me out.  Can't thank them enough for that.  I'm beginning to notice things about myself too.  When I bend down to pick things up off the ground, it is not such a big deal anymore.  I used to huff or puff and groan, now it is not a big deal for me.  I noticed that yesterday when I was dusting the house and picking things up off the ground.  Strange.  Tell next time!

Well I have gained almost 2 pounds :(, but my cardio is going great.  Tomorrow I start cross training to increase my muscle mass.  Hopefully that will give me a kick to go back down.  My current weight today was 234.8.  Up 2 from 232.8.  Tell next time.

My weight is maintaining..currently it is at 238.6.  My mile is down to 9 minutes!  Although it is only one mile and on a tread mill.  If I can dupliocate that to get 2 miles in 18 minutes I will be the man!  Push ups are getting alittle better.  Just sit ups are left!  Well and 30 pounds...things are looking up!

My mile and a half just got better!

I run my mile and a half in 14 minutes 10 seconds!  A 50 second improvement!  I can also do man sit ups!  Did twenty in a row!  last week I couldn't do one!  WOOT!  I also lost a pound this week!  Its been a good week for me!  Slim and fit came through for me again!  Now that I am cutting cheese from my diet, the weight should just slide off again...lets hope the momentum keeps rolling!

Weather is too crappy to run in :(

The weather is sucking hardcore today!  I did 30 minutes to 45 minutes of inside core work on my inflatable workout ball.  Lots of sit ups....hopefully by end of next week I will see an improvement to the point where I won't need as much assistance.  Did 3 sets of 30 push ups to.  They were broken up, I must be tired from the last workout still.

I have a lot of work to do!

My current weight is still fluctuating.  My trainer says; I should wait until next Wednesday.  To weigh in.  So I'm not "obsessioning" about the numbers.  We shall see.  As for my push ups still around 40 in a minute.  My sit ups just don't exist..it is a weakness.  As for my run I can do a mile in roughly 10 minutes and 10 seconds.  I need to shave about 2 minutes off this.  Also I need to find some place or route that is approximately two miles to practice on.  Other than that just 30 more pounds and I am going to go to a recruiter.  I hope to try this by April.

Just got done running my 1.4 mile

I ran at a solid pace, non stop.  I stated at 8 minutes past the hour and stopped at 25 minutes past the hour.  So I can jog the 1.4 miles in approximately 17 minutes.  That is not good at all.  Needs to be a lot faster ;(.  Going to have to do something about that.

I'm at 242 even!  I also am about to go running again here in an hour.  Its looking up for me!  Another 32 pounds exactly and I will be where I want to be!

Stamina is getting better!

I ran 1.4 miles yesterday, and did 40 pushups in a row!  I am getting back on track!  Can't wait for next weigh in.  Eating better too!

Heading back down!

I am down by like .6 pounds!  Also, I did actual sit ups, not crunches today.  Not many, but I am still making progress!

Maintaining....switching up the workout....lets hope that shocks my system.  Before I go to bed tonight (in the morning, I'm doing a set of push ups and setups, and finally back raises....3 sets of 30 should do it!  I would love to do squats with that, but I think that would mess me up.  Wonder If I will sleep well after that?
